Notice regarding proposed name change

Millea Holdings Inc. (the "Company") announced today that, on March 24, 2008, its board of directors resolved to change its name from Millea Holdings, Inc. to "Tokio Marine Holdings Inc.", scheduled to be effective as of July 1, 2008.

The name change is subject to the approval of the corresponding amendment of the Company's articles of incorporation at the Company's ordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled for late June 2008.

In connection with the proposed name change, the Company and its group companies would like to highlight their determination to further advance and enhance the Company's growth strategies on a worldwide basis in order to increase the Company's corporate value.

1. Purpose of the name change

The Company was incorporated in April 2002 as the first insurance holding company for a comprehensive insurance group in Japan. Over the course of six years since its formation, the business environment surrounding the Company and its group has significantly changed, and the trend of globalization continues to accelerate. In order to respond to those changes effectively and efficiently, and to continuously enhance its corporate value through the implementation of group-wide growth strategies, the Company decided to adopt the name "Tokio Marine" which it believed to have worldwide recognition and reputation.
