Yuya Takahashi

I work in the International Business Development Department, responsible for end-to-end strategy development and execution for our overseas businesses, including market intelligence and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Through disciplined overseas M&A, we have reshaped our business portfolio, delivering sustainable profit growth and steady ROE improvement. We rigorously adhere to three acquisition principles: （1）alignment of culture and management values, （2）strong profitability, and （3）a distinctive, resilient business model. Executing our M&A strategy with these principles requires a medium- to long-term strategic perspective, timely and accurate market intelligence, deep expertise in M&A and insurance-business management, and a strong understanding of the Tokio Marine Group’s culture and management philosophy.

While the work demands responsibility, urgency, and precision, collaborating with specialists across more than 55 countries and regions gives me a strong sense of purpose and pride in contributing to a dynamic global management platform.
