Luke Fardell

I work in the Cyber Underwriting team as an embedded cyber specialist. My role involves supporting underwriters in assessing cyber risk, building software to analyse and monitor the cyber hygiene of our clients’ networks, marketing our products, developing new value-add cyber solutions, and enabling data-driven workflows and efficiencies across underwriting teams.

The most rewarding part of my role is working with such a talented, supportive, and hard-working team, and seeing the knowledge I share used every day by underwriters to explore technical detail and better understand the networks we insure.

I also value the encouragement I receive to innovate and create new technologies that benefit the wider business. In recognition of this work, I was honoured to receive the 2025 Tokio Marine Group Award^* in Tokyo for software I developed to help prevent cyber incidents and protect our clients’ networks.
