Tokio Marine Holdings Internal Audit Dept. Tokyo, Japan

As the “third line” in the Three Lines Model*, our department plays an important role in supporting the Tokio Marine Group’s sustainable growth. We conduct internal audits not only for the holding company but also for group companies in Japan and overseas. In addition to audits performed independently, we also carry out joint audits and other collaborative audit activities with group companies.

Alongside individual audits, I currently lead cross‑group monitoring and risk assessment initiatives and am driving efforts to adopt generative AI into our audit operations.

The Tokio Marine Group’s business extends far beyond financial services, spanning a wide range of industries. Having the opportunity to work with diverse risks and audit themes, tailored to each company’s characteristics and operating environment, is one of the most rewarding aspects of this role.

In recent years, more mid‑career professionals with expertise in IT, digital, accounting, legal, and other fields have joined the Group and are playing central roles. We actively welcome new perspectives and knowledge, and I believe our ability to turn this diversity into a strength is one of the key drivers of the Group’s sustainable growth.
