As part of its efforts for the protection of global environment, Tokio Marine & Nichido recommends its policyholders to choose "Web Clauses" under which they can see their "Summary of Terms and Conditions (Insurance Clauses)" on the Company's website instead of in a brochure form.

This system will not only reduce the use of paper but also include monetary contributions to the mangrove afforestation projects in Southeast Asia. If customers choose the "Web Clause" instead of paper-based clauses for their policies, Tokio Marine & Nichido will donate part of proceeds, equivalent to the planting of two saplings, from every policy taken out to NGOs and other organizations which are engaged in the mangrove afforestation activities.

The "Web Clauses" system will be implemented starting with Automobile insurance and Super-insurance whose insurance period starts on July 1, 2009.
