Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (President: Toshifumi Kitazawa, hereinafter “TMNF”), a subsidiary of Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc., will hold the industry-academia collaboration forum “Building a disaster-resilient community in the Asia-Pacific –The power of science and insurance” at the World Bosai Forum in Sendai in November 2017, in collaboration with the International Research Institute of Disaster Science at Tohoku University, Asia-Pacific Financial Forum. At the same time, TMNF will report its industry-academia collaborative research outcomes at the exhibition booth of the “Japanese National Conference on Promoting Disaster Risk Reduction”.
As an insurance group that counters climate change and natural disaster risk and provides safety and security, Tokio Marine Group will contribute to the success of the World Bosai Forum and the creation of a disaster-resilient community through knowledge sharing and discussion of insurance and risk management, as well as dissemination of industry-academia collaborative research outcomes.
