The Tokio Marine Group has a CSR initiative that aims for promoting diversity & inclusion. As part of this initiative and with an aim to be a corporate group where diverse people enjoy working with vigor and enthusiasm, Tokio Marine Business Support was established as a special subsidiary to offer a wide range of job opportunities for the challenged.

Located in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, Tokio Marine Business Support operates such services as delivering documents, inputting and revising data, printing, preparing name cards, automatic imprinting, and "wet shredding" for Tokio Marine group companies to support their business. These office services are provided mainly by mentally-challenged or developmentally-challenged people.

In April, 2011, Tokio Marine Business Support merged with Tokio Marine & Nichido Operations which specializes in management, delivery and printing of business documents and Tokio Marine & Nichido Corporation, the provider of office services which include sales of office supplies. Tokio Marine Business Support with a pooling of these expertises will prove its synergy in an effort to further improve qualities of business and promote employment for the challenged.

[Collection and "wet shredding" of documents]

"Wet shredder" fiberizes paper with water and reprocesses to make new recycled copy paper. This leads to more environment protection rather than disposal by traditional strip or cross-cut shredding.
