Leadership Development and Management Training
The Tokio Marine Group places an increasingly high level of importance on the training of its diverse personnel as the basis for furthering its international business development.
We offer opportunities for leadership development at every level—from entry level employees to experienced managing directors. Some of our programs include:
Global Management Seminars
Among the training programs that pertain to our international business, one example is the Tokio Marine Group Management Seminar. This leadership development initiative was launched in 2001, and has been held annually for the past 10 years. Participants in the Tokio Marine Group Management Seminar are high-potential employees from throughout our Group Companies. The objectives of this Seminar are twofold: to deepen the understanding of the Tokio Marine Group's strategy and to cultivate a sense of integrity as leaders. These objectives are met through direct exchanges of opinions and experiences amongst fellow attendees from diverse countries, regions, and cultures and with varying functions.
Tokio Marine-INSEAD Business Leaders Development Program
The leadership development initiative includes the Tokio Marine-INSEAD Business Leaders Development Program which is held in Singapore. This program is offered for high-potential employees across the Asian region. Participants are given the opportunity to obtain the skills to become leaders through activities supervised by qualified faculty of INSEAD.
Manager/Supervisor Effectiveness Training
Throughout our Group Companies, employees can utilize global shared services and are eligible for manager/supervisor effectiveness training. This structure not only ensures that we build world class competencies for directing, motivating and evaluating our employees, but also that we do so with an understanding of diversity and culture.
Career Growth and Development Planning
At the Tokio Marine Group, we believe that learning is a career-long process. Essential to this is an emphasis on development planning, global rotation, and coaching, which provides a continuum of development opportunities throughout one's career life cycle.
